Custom Home Consumer Review (CHCR) was developed to provide contractors, suppliers and service providers to the home industry, a place to list and advertise their business at a minimal cost.  CHCR's easy-to-use program allows an advertiser to maintain their Ads and update them anytime at no additional cost.  Unlike print advertising, a CHCR Ad is never outdated or thrown away; therefore, it is effective year-round with current information.

CHCR
offers an "Online Magazine" of Articles of Interest on products, services, and home ideas.  Advertisers are encouraged to submit interesting articles about their business or product.  What better way is there to introduce your Company to Consumers in your area and nationwide.

4)   With many Companies advertising on CHCR, how does a Home Consumer locate my Business?

Search capabilities within CHCR allows a Home Consumer to identify advertisers by Location and by the Product or Service.  Searches can also be performed by Company name, locally and nationally.

A search for a Product or Service in an area will list all Advertisers including links to websites as an advertising method.  However, placement of larger ads, such as 6 Page Ads, are given a higher priority position followed by 4 Page Ads, and 2 Page Ads.

Generous advertising space of  2 Pages, 4 Pages, or 6 Pages of text and photographs enables a Company to adequately display Products and Services that they offer.  In addition, CHCR offers Featured Ads on Area Pages that will take Consumers directly to an Advertisement.

6)   What do I get with an Advertisement?

A.  You get Advertising space that you can change as your business changes; therefore,  your Advertisement does not become outdated or provide incorrect addresses and phone numbers, should you change locations.  CHCR allows you to revise and update your Ad throughout the 12 month contract period, showing new products, services, completed projects, etc.

B.   We offer Category Placement.
There are three levels of  Advertisements:  6 Page Ads, 4 Page Ads, and  2 Page Advertisements.
  All 6 Page Ads are placed at the top of the Category List and 4 Page Ads and 2 Page Ads follow.  The greater the number of Ad Pages,  the higher on the category list it is placed  (the location of the Ad placement is on a first come- first serve basis, renewing your Ad maintains your Category placement).  Free directory listings are placed in alphabetical order below all Advertisements.

C.  Other Advertising Options are Available to You-
Featured Ads -  This gives you additional exposure on an area page and takes a Consumer directly to your Ad without going through a search.

7)   How many Ads can I run?

You may choose to run as many Advertisements as you like.  By placing an Advertisement in different categories and in different areas you may expose your business to new markets.

Example: If you are in the "Furnishings - Antiques" category and also specialize in stained glass, you may want to have an ad in "Products and Supplies - Windows" category to attract potential clients looking for your specific products or services.

8)   Can I run my Advertisement for longer than 1 year?

Your Advertisement runs in 12-month periods.  You can renew your Ad before your term ends; therefore, maintaining your category placement.  We will notify you 60 days prior to the expiration of your Ad to make it convenient for you to renew your Ad.

Remember, you can make changes to your Advertisement anytime by logging onto your account.  If your area code changes, if you have new images to reflect sales, new merchandise or services or you want to link to a new web site just log onto your account and make those changes immediately at no additional cost.

9)   Can I change my Ad after it starts?

Yes, unlike print material, you can make changes anytime to your Advertisement. Just log onto your account on CHCR using a secure link.  Images (pictures), text, company information can all be changed online by you anytime at no cost. 

Your Area (city) and category are the only things that can not be changed after you start your Advertisement.

10)   What is a Featured Advertisement?

A Featured Advertisement is an Advertisement that has a link to it from the city (area) page that your Ad is in.  When a visitor to CHCR selects an area to look for resources, such as Denver, the initial page for Denver comes up and welcomes them to that area. Featured Advertisements are displayed directly on this welcome page.  This allows all visitors to that city to have a direct link to your Advertisement  without having to browse through the category menu at the left hand side of the screen. 

You may choose to create an image that is 180 pixels wide by 70 pixels high in a .jpg format to place on the welcome page for your Advertisement, or automatically, when you select to have a Featured Advertisement, your company name and the category your Advertisement is placed in will display.

11)    What is My Folder?

My Folder is a program that allows a Consumer to manage and organize their personal project information.  Put in your own description and quickly return to the Advertisements or Directory Listings you require for your project.

Share your project information with friends or associates by simply giving them your Username and Password to your Folder.  They can quickly get to your information you have organized.

To start Your Folder click on the "Add to My Folder" link from any Ad or Directory listing.  Simply supply a Username and Password of your choice and your "My Folder" is generated to input the information about your project.  Edit any of the entries to incorporate your own description about the items that you place in your Folder.
